My Internship Blog posts

After 5 weeks as an intern, it’s less so that I was able to rule out career paths, but I found that I enjoy the several different career paths that I was able to shadow while I’ve been here. Shadowing our senior producer, Megan, for a week during a brand shoot showed me just how much is required and expected of producers and it was so cool to watch Megan rise to the occasion, and even exceed the expectations of the people who hired us. Shadowing Ruan, one of our editors, and listening to him very calmly and nonchalantly explain the most complicated set up that I’ve personally ever seen showed me that it just came naturally to him.

I spend majority of my time learning more building blocks and fundamentals of motion graphics with Kyler and he’s had over ten years to practice and hone his craft with a myriad of different applications and softwares, to the point where he builds scripts for each one to make his life easier, and for those that he can’t do that for, he’s well-versed in every shortcut the software gives him access to.

All this to say, everyone here makes their job look easy, and it makes me believe that one day I can make it seem that way too.
